Case Study: Mesh Belt Selection for Frozen Peeled Shrimp Tails & Baby Squid

Sep 14, 2026

Customer: XXX Food Co., Ltd.

Product: Chain Eyelink Conveyor Mesh Belt

Chain Eye-Link Conveyor Mesh Belt for Frozen Peeled Shrimp Tails Baby Squid

Process Overview

Processing frozen peeled shrimp tails demands a specially selected metal mesh belt, different from those used for other frozen food products. The belt must protect the integrity of shrimp meat while stopping soft products like shrimp tails and baby squid from wedging into mesh openings.

Customer Challenge

Many food processors rely on chain-type K2 mesh belts for freezing peeled shrimp tails. At the discharge end, shrimp tails frequently get caught in mesh gaps or stick heavily to the belt. To solve sticking issues, factories install tapping devices at the discharge section. However, repeated tapping shortens the service life of the mesh belt.

The customer was looking for a mesh belt satisfying two core criteria to optimize shrimp flash freezing:

1. Ultra-flat belt surface to preserve shrimp meat integrity and visual quality.

2. Fine mesh openings to prevent shrimp from lodging in holes, enabling clean product release.

Our **Chain Eyelink Mesh Belt** perfectly meets these flash-freezing requirements and serves as the ideal conveyor belt for this frozen food application.
