Chemical materials used for passivation require a limited amount of chloride ions. The water used to prepare passivation liquid and cleaning water also has strict water quality requirements for chloride ions to ensure that the passivation product does not adhere to chloride ions and avoid subsequent problems.
2. Surface cleanliness. For stainless steel mesh belts, the lower the surface roughness, the smoother the surface, the more difficult it is for foreign matters to adhere to, and the lower the probability of local corrosion at various parts. Therefore, the stainless steel mesh belt should be finished as much as possible. In addition, the cleanliness of the surface of the stainless steel mesh belt is also important, and the final cleaning after passivation should also be carried out carefully, as the residual acidic solution can promote cathodic reaction and rupture the film, thereby activating the stainless steel and significantly reducing its corrosion resistance.
3. Use environmental media. The passivation film of stainless steel mesh belt belongs to a thermodynamic constrained metastable structure, and its protection efficiency is related to environmental media. During use, it is necessary to regularly clean the surface to remove long-term harmful substances. Especially in environments with chloride ions, avoid long-term attachment of chloride ions to the surface, and concentrate the mouth in water, such as stainless steel, for use in tableware. After each contact with food, it is necessary to clean it to prevent the effect of chloride ions from damaging the passivation film. For example, for containers and equipment used in dairy products, chloride ions in dairy products can damage the passivation film. The capacity and equipment of dairy products can be corroded and perforated over time. Therefore, regular cleaning is required to restore the passivation film.
4. Internal factors of stainless steel mesh belt. The content of martensite, chromium, and nickel in stainless steel mesh strips has a significant impact on the passivation performance of stainless steel. The lower the nickel content, the lower the passivation performance. The passivation film performance of martensitic stainless steel is inferior to that of austenitic stainless steel.
